How does fare negotiation work?
Simply enter your pickup and destination, then propose a fare you're comfortable with. Nearby drivers will see your request and can accept, reject, or counter-offer. You choose which driver to ride with based on their offer, rating, and arrival time.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards, Wave, Yonna, APS, and Afrimoney. Afrimoney is fully integrated into our app for seamless in-app payments. You can set your preferred payment method in the app settings.
How do I know my driver is safe?
All Gamride drivers undergo thorough background checks and vehicle inspections before being approved. You can see driver ratings, reviews, and vehicle information before confirming your ride. We also provide real-time GPS tracking and 24/7 support.
Can I schedule a ride in advance?
Yes! You can schedule rides up to 7 days in advance. Simply select your desired pickup time when booking, and we'll match you with a driver who's available at that time.
What if I need to cancel my ride?
You can cancel your ride at any time before the driver arrives. Cancellations made within 2 minutes of booking are free. After that, a small cancellation fee may apply if the driver has already started moving towards your location.
How are drivers rated?
After each ride, both riders and drivers can rate each other on a 5-star scale. Ratings are based on punctuality, professionalism, vehicle condition, and overall experience. Drivers with consistently low ratings may be removed from the platform.
What areas does Gamride serve?
Gamride currently serves major cities and towns across The Gambia, including Banjul, Serekunda, Bakau, Brikama, and surrounding areas. We're constantly expanding to new locations.
How do I report an issue with my ride?
You can report issues directly through the app after your ride, or contact our 24/7 support team at 640660. For urgent safety concerns, use the emergency button in the app or call +220 5533578.
Can I ride with friends and family?
Absolutely! When booking, you can specify the number of passengers (up to the vehicle's capacity). You can also select larger vehicles for group rides through the vehicle type option.
What if I left something in the vehicle?
Contact our support team immediately at 640660 with your ride details. We'll connect you with your driver to arrange retrieval of your items. Most items are successfully returned within 24 hours.
